Our Story

I was introduced to “scrapbooking” in 2000 and realized I had been doing a generic form of the craft since high school, of course minus the colorful cardstock and embellishments! Eager to share this newly discovered hobby with a few friends and family, it was met with skepticism, sarcasm and laughter noting “so we’re going to tear up paper now”. I would later learn that many of those same people had started secretly scrapbooking on their own and in some cases were taking classes!

We began to gather with others who enjoyed scrapbooking and cardmaking for “crops” whenever and wherever we could. In 2017, GGC was formed, and this wonderful group of diverse and fun ladies began to gather as crafters for the weekend, spread out all of our tools/toys and enjoy a relaxing and spacious environment where we could

“crop till you drop” with no judgement.

What began as a personal journey has grown into a transformative experience that has evolved into highly anticipated weekend getaways with friends and acquaintances when we gather, share, learn, fellowship, and indulge in the craft activity we love. Whether it is scrapbooking, card making, quilting, knitting, diamond dots, or jewelry making, we gather, laugh, and work on our individual projects and enjoy a “retreat” experience!

Your Stay

The Manor is a place for you and your crafty crew to escape, create, relax, and have fun while indulging in the hobby of your choice. The first-floor craft area includes: individual tables and rolling storage carts, comfortable chairs, electrical towers, individual lights, and cutting mats. Also available for use is a Cricut machine and cartridges, and a Gemini Jr. die cutting machine (guests must bring their own cutting machine mats and die cuts)
